LBT 2026-2027 INAF Call highlights

The latest call for proposals saw a record-breaking response: 61 proposals requested a total of 1,212 hours. The SHARK instrument GTO time was renewed, allocating 6+2 nights to SHARK-NIR and 60 hours to SHARK-VIS during INAF runs. Additionally, INAF now contributes 20 telescope hours to NOIRLab for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. Excluding GTO and SHARK allocations, the oversubscription rate was approximately 3.

  • ISM, Star Formation, and Planetary Systems: 317.94 hours
  • Stellar Evolution: 223.65 hours
  • Cosmology: 91.90 hours
